The smartlock integration was a significant project because it is the first time we are adding an external integration into our mobile app. It is also meant to replicate the functionality of SaltoKS' existing app. Because of this, I was tasked with designing a way for users to view and access available integrations and add them seamlessly, and also recreate the SaltoKS experience in our app with all of it's functionality while retaining our app's unique style and familiarity for users. I did competitive analysis with similar apps to see how they were managing these sort of integrations and also the "tap to unlock" experience so as to not reinvent the wheel but refine it, worked with our developers to see what was possible and utilize best practices, and also created a user flow that was efficient and easy for users to understand but also provided a delightful experience with friendly illustrations and a step-by-step onboarding experience.
