A moving interpretation of the painting "Charing Cross Bridge", by André Derain, made in Experimental cinema at NYU. The goal was to choose a painting and bring it to life, carrying over the general feeling and essence of the painting into video form.
I strived to achieve the same colorful, dreamy feeling that the Derain created through his use of vivid colors, soft edges, and natural scenery. I utilized a mixture of footage I shot myself as well as an image of the painting.

Painting: “Charing Cross Bridge” by André Derain, on display at the MoMA.
Music: "A Modern Fairytale" by Ruth Barrett
